Too many students wait till nearly the end of the year to start spending their scholarship funds. It's a bit like buying awesome runners half-way through the race - not as useful as if you buy them at the start right?

How about a mentor?

Imagine having a person you could call with pretty much any question about school, careers, and your plans for the future. Someone who's been to uni, who's had different jobs and experiences, who can listen to your plans and help you work out what you need so you can get where you want to go. 

Our PEF mentors work in medicine, law, finance, education, business, the arts, and more. And they've signed up because they know that we don't figure these things out on our own. Nobody does.

There is truth in the old expression "it's not what you know, it's who you know."

Working out what to study after high school (and where) is a massive research project.

• UNSW Gateway is designed to help high school students maximise their ATAR and can lead to an early conditional offer to UNSW.
